| Construction |
The extremely durable
fiberglass hull and stainless steel and
aluminum hardware resists corrosion and other damage.
|
| Drive Unit |
Adjustable position tower enables a proper ergonomic
fit for most individuals.
|
| Propulsion |
Strong three-blade marine duty
manganese-bronze
alloy propeller resists damage
from submerged obstacles. In addition, the
prop shaft is protected with a fixed aluminum casing. If the Cadence
should ever capsize, this casing makes an ideal hand hold to be
used in righting the vessel. |
| Beam |
Having a wide beam makes the Cadence highly stable in
the water and more difficult to capsize.
|
| Outriggers (optional) |
The stability of the Cadence is
increased even more, enabling one to engage in activities that
would capsize any other boat lacking them.
|
| Draft |
The shallow 12" draft enables operator to get close
to shore when beaching
|
| Weight |
Moderate 83 lb. weight enables handling by a single
person.
|
| Cockpit |
The cockpit of the Cadence
is designed as an integrated unit with the deck. Even if
the cockpit were completely full of water this would not flood into
the storage compartments. This helps to keep the Cadence as buoyant
as possible, even under adverse conditions.
In addition, by placing the operator very low
within the craft, the center of gravity is lowered. This makes the
Cadence more difficult to capsize. |
| Bump Rail |
In the unlikely event of a
capsize, the sides of the hull are lined with a reinforced bump rail
that acts like a hand hold. This makes re-entry a breeze.
The bump rail also serves to protect the sides of the
Cadence from damage when docking. |
| Speed Bailer |
Located at the bottom of
the cockpit, the speed bailer will quickly drain water from the
cockpit while the craft is under way. This leaves one or both hands
free for other tasks. The speed bailer can
also be used to easily drain rain water from the cockpit when the
vessel is carried on top of a car, or when stored outdoors without a
cover, reducing the handling effort. |
| Cargo Capacity |
The enormous 400 lb. capacity enables
you
to carry just about all the safety equipment one could wish for.
|
| Storage Compartments |
Two immense compartments provide plenty of room
for standard dry bags and inflatable flotation bags.
|
|
Hands-free Operation |
Since the Cadence is pedal powered, one
or both of your hands are free to perform any task required.
|
| Two Steering Levers |
Two steering levers, one on each
side, allow the Cadence to be steered with either hand. This enables
you to maneuver and still have one hand free.
|
| Speed |
The fast speed of the Cadence enables
you to get out
of dangerous conditions rapidly.
|
|
Weed Cutter |
The proprietary integrated
weed cutting blade enables you to remotely remove plant matter
that could otherwise foul the propeller.
